Eduardo Sesatty

Director for Postsecondary Initiatives, San Antonio Independent School District

Dr. Eduardo “Lalo” Sesatty is the Director for Postsecondary Initiatives with the San Antonio Independent School District. He leads a team of college & career advisors to increase the number of students who obtain a postsecondary credential. Dr. Sesatty firmly believes that all students deserve equal access to postsecondary opportunity and a choice-filled life. His professional and research lens focuses on the inherent strengths within students of color that challenge historical and institutional deficit-mindsets and which allows students of color to navigate institutions often not designed with them in mind. Dr. Sesatty holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from the UT School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
